Song So Hee, a star in Gukak (traditional Korean music) industry, is being sued by her agency D&i Entertainment for not properly distributing the agency's share of the profit that she got from her activities.
Legal representatives of D&i Entertainment stated that, D&i Entertainment's CEO Choi Yong Soo signed Song So Hee under an exclusive contract with the agency and has been managing her ever since July 2013. However, the agency has not been able to receive their share of revenue and decided to file a lawsuit about this problem.
CEO Choi Yong Soo exclaimed that although Song So Hee has deposited the adjusted amount twice, she did not distribute the revenue properly. Various attempts like sending certification of contents were used to settle the situation, but Song So Hee has yet to respond, causing a lawsuit to be filed.
The CEO further more added that 7-year contract with 5:5 (50/50) profit distribution with Song So Hee was signed.However, the agency has not be able to receive their share of the profit. Song So Hee is also said to have promoted individually, by excluding the agency and ignoring the terms stated on her contract.
The first case for the lawsuit is said to be held on March 3 at the Seoul Southern District Court.
